Marin's Room is a personal creative project. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site handles and how. If anything here is unclear, please reach out.

The short version

You can use this site pseudonymously — no account or real name is required. The main thing to know: notes you leave in the XR Space are public, and some records are written to a public blockchain that can't be edited or deleted. So please don't share anything private or sensitive.

What we collect

XR Space activity. A display name and avatar you choose, your position in the space, and any notes or time capsules you leave. Notes are stored and shown publicly to other visitors. Your live presence (moving around) is not stored.
A browser wallet. When you enter the XR Space, a pseudonymous wallet is generated and saved in your own browser (localStorage). It identifies you across visits and is tied to your keepsakes. It contains no personal information.
On-chain records. Entering the space records a signed attestation on Holy Mary Chain, a public blockchain. These records are permanent and cannot be deleted. They contain your pseudonymous wallet address and the name/avatar you chose — never your real identity.
Keepsakes. Non-transferable mementos you earn, tied to your wallet.
Chat. Messages you send to the AI assistant, to generate a reply.
Donations. If you donate, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Basic technical data. Standard server logs from our host, used to keep the site running and secure.

Services we rely on

The site is built on third-party services, each with its own privacy practices: Supabase (database & real-time), Render (hosting), Stripe (payments), an AI provider (chat), and a self-hosted blockchain node (the public ledger).

Public & permanent by design

Notes in the XR Space are visible to everyone, and on-chain records are both public and permanent — they can't be removed once written. Please treat anything you post here as public and lasting. Don't include personal, sensitive, or private information.

Your choices

Clearing your browser data removes your saved wallet from this device.
You can ask us to remove a note you left (stored off-chain) by emailing us. Please note that on-chain records and public copies cannot be deleted.
